Our Mini-House League is a high-energy, co-ed program designed for 8-9-year-olds who are ready to build on the basics of basketball in a fun and supportive setting. This league introduces players to the rules and strategies of the game while continuing to develop essential skills like dribbling, passing, and shooting—foundations first established in Jr. NBA.
Teams are formed with balance in mind. A short evaluation process helps us ensure that skill levels are evenly distributed, creating a fair and encouraging environment for all players.
Through engaging practices and exciting games, kids build confidence, learn teamwork, and experience the joy of the sport. Our focus is on inclusion, sportsmanship, and fostering a lifelong love for basketball—while introducing a healthy sense of competition in a positive, age-appropriate way.

AMBA aims to schedule all practices and Mini House games within Airdrie. However, based on gym availability, nearby locations such as Crossfield and Balzac may also be used.
Practice days depend on coach and school availability and may vary each season.
Once practice nights are assigned, we strive to keep them consistent week to week. However, due to limited gym space, occasional changes in time and location may occur. Please check the weekly schedule regularly.
Games take place on Friday evenings in Airdrie, from mid-October to the end of February. Click here for rules and game format details.
