The City of Airdrie Minor Basketball Association ("AMBA") is a volunteer-managed registered non-profit in Airdrie, Alberta. At Airdrie Minor Basketball, we are dedicated to providing a supportive and enriching environment for young athletes to experience the joy of basketball. Our organization is committed to fostering the growth of minor basketball in Airdrie and surrounding areas, empowering young players to develop their skills and reach their full potential.
Our mission is to cultivate a love for the game while instilling values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and dedication. We believe that participating in organized sports at a young age is not only about athletic development but also about building character, resilience, and lifelong friendships. Through our programs, we aim to create a positive and inclusive basketball community that nurtures the overall development and well-being of our young athletes. - Our vision is to be "The Leader in Developing Community Youth Basketball".
We offer a diverse range of programs tailored to meet the needs of minor basketball players at various levels of skill and experience. AMBA is a member of the Calgary Minor Basketball Association ("CMBA") and Volunteer Airdrie.
As an organization deeply rooted in the community, Our organization was founded in the mid-1990s and currently has over 400 players across three different programs. we actively collaborate with local schools, community centers, and other youth-focused organizations. These partnerships allow us to expand access to basketball programs, provide resources for skill development, and contribute to the overall well-being and development of our community's youth.
Continuous improvement is at the core of our organization. We stay abreast of the latest coaching techniques and industry trends to deliver high-quality programs that meet the evolving needs of our players. From leagues and tournaments to camps and skills clinics, we provide opportunities for players to enhance their basketball abilities, foster healthy competition, and fuel their passion for the game.
