Do you want to make a difference in the life of Airdrie and area youth? Do you want to get out in the community, get some exercise and increase your own game knowledge? Coaching for AMBA is the perfect solution!

Each year AMBA utilizes the expertise of 50 - 60 volunteer head coaches and assistant coaches to deliver our community youth basketball program in Airdrie. Age-appropriate training is provided for all coaches for no charge.

How to become an AMBA coach:

  1. Email our Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@airdriebasketball.ca and advise whether you’re interested in signing up to be a head coach or an assistant coach.
  2. Read over AMBAs Volunteer Screening Policy
  3. If you are not an AMBA member (you don't have a family member in our program), fill out AMBAs Volunteer Application Form and return it to volunteer@airdriebasketball.ca
  4. We’ll let you know if your child’s team is still in need of a coach and send you information on obtaining an RCMP Vulnerable Sectors Check if we are moving forward with your coaching position.  If you have a Vulnerable Sectors Check that has been completed in the last three years, please forward a copy (scan or picture) to volunteer@airdriebasketball.ca

What if multiple people express interest in coaching a team?
Please see our Coach Selection Guidelines

Thanks so much for your support of AMBA and your interest in coaching for us, we look forward to working with you.
