🏆 New for U11-U18: CMBA competition format changes
More weekends back for families
Teams play two games per game day, with divisions alternating every other weekend. Same total games, fewer weekends in the gym.

Improved competitive balance
No fixed divisions in the regular season. CMBA re-seeds teams after each cycle and sets playoff divisions based on performance.
📅  U11 & U18 play one weekend; U13 & U15 play the alternate weekend
📄  All athletes must provide proof of age and address at registration (CMBA requirement)
👥 Parent volunteer requirements
AMBA is volunteer-driven. During registration you will choose to volunteer or opt out.
Opt-out fee — U11-U15
$250 per athlete

Opt-out fee — U18
$100 per athlete
Note: If you volunteer, a bond is agreed to at registration but only charged if your commitment isn’t completed by season end. Roles include team and association positions; some require AMBA approval.
💳 Payment options
Alberta Basketball Association fee: $29.00  (travel teams via CMBA: $30.33)
💳  Credit card
Registration and opt-out fees processed at the time of registration.
?  Cheque
Email registration@airdriebasketball.ca for details. Volunteer deposit by post-dated cheque (March 25, 2027) or e-transfer no later than evaluations.
📧  E-transfer
Send full fee to treasurer@airdriebasketball.ca within 7 days. Unpaid registrations after 7 days may be removed.
?  KidSport / JumpStart

🏆 Interested in coaching?
Indicate your interest on the registration form — coaches will be contacted in September with next steps. All coaches must complete:
🎓  Respect in Sport training — recognizing and addressing abuse, neglect, harassment, and bullying in youth sport
🛡  Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) — valid 2 years. Email volunteer@airdriebasketball.ca for a VSC letter to present to Airdrie RCMP
Note: Expressing interest does not guarantee a coaching position. We recommend starting your VSC and Respect in Sport training early to avoid delays.
