Big Changes Coming for the 2026/2027 Season!

Excitement is building at AMBA as we prepare for our upcoming registration on June 2nd. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes to enhance the basketball experience for all our athletes, and while full details are still emerging, we wanted to share a sneak peek at some major updates for the upcoming year.

What’s New This Season?

New Game Format (U11-U18): In alignment with CMBA’s regular programming, games for our U11 through U18 divisions will now move to a bi-weekly schedule. On game weeks, teams will play two games on Saturdays, allowing for more consistent play and better weekend planning for families.
Fresh Look for AMBA: We are incredibly excited to announce a New Jersey Program! We are finalizing the designs and rollout details now—stay tuned for more information on how our athletes will be sporting a fresh new look on the court.
CMBA Club Season: CMBA is also introducing an addition of a Fall and Winter Club Season. This is a significant update for the basketball community, and we will provide more details on how this integrates with our season as information becomes available.

The City of Airdrie Minor Basketball Association ("AMBA") is a volunteer-managed registered non-profit in Airdrie, Alberta. The AMBA was formed to provide youth from ages 6 to 17, coaches, and referees in the Airdrie area with safe, cost-effective team-based recreation and opportunities to develop their knowledge, skills, and abilities using our community basketball programs.

Our vision is to be "The Leader in Developing Community Youth Basketball".

Our organization was founded in the mid-1990s and currently has over 400 players across three different programs.

AMBA is a member of the Calgary Minor Basketball Association ("CMBA") and Volunteer Airdrie.

The AMBA uses QuestionPro for our annual Survey. Thanks to QuestionPro's offline mobile app, collecting offline data is a piece of cake now, especially when you don't have to deal with paperwork anymore..
