Born 2014 – 2015  ·  Ages 11–12

Our U13 program is designed for players ready to take the next step in their basketball journey. Whether you’re new to the travel program or a returning player, U13 is built to elevate your skills and understanding of the game. Building on basketball fundamentals, the program focuses on developing more advanced skills, team strategies, and competitive play in a fun and supportive environment.

Players will work on enhancing dribbling, shooting, passing, and defensive techniques while learning to read the game and make smart decisions on the court. The program emphasizes teamwork, sportsmanship, and healthy competition.

U13 is the perfect bridge between introductory basketball and higher-level play — challenging athletes to push their abilities and prepare for the next stage of development, both individually and as part of a team.

How Teams Are Built

Team Formation & Evaluations

🎯  Skill-Based Placement

U13 teams are balanced and development-focused. Players are placed to maximize learning, growth, and contribution. Specific team or teammate requests are not accepted. Teams are grouped by skill to ensure a fun, challenging, and competitive season.

👩‍⛹️  Separate Teams

U13 fields separate male and female teams, competing in their respective CMBA divisions. This structure ensures appropriate and competitive matchups throughout the season.

⚖️  Evaluations

All players must attend evaluations. 2016-born players wishing to play up to U13 must try out and make a team through the standard evaluation process.

📋  Tiered Tiers

CMBA operates a tiered league system, so teams at every skill level face appropriate competition. Every player gets a meaningful season, regardless of experience level.
