House League Programs

AMBA House League

Airdrie Only  ·  No Travel Required

 

Our House League programs are held entirely in Airdrie and are designed for our youngest players, with practices and games taking place locally. We partner with a variety of gyms in and around Airdrie to schedule practices. While we aim to give our youngest players the earlier time slots, we cannot guarantee specific start or end times. We accept all skill levels and beginners are welcome.

An introduction to basketball fundamentals in a fun, low-pressure environment. Skills, movement, and a love for the game.

Travel Team Programs

AMBA U11–U18 Leagues

Competing Across the Calgary Area

 

Our Travel Teams compete in the Calgary Minor Basketball Association (CMBA), a tiered league spanning Calgary and the surrounding area. AMBA teams practice in Airdrie between 5:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.

Games are now scheduled Bi-Weekly on Saturdays across the Calgary area (2 games per day at the same location). Please note that AMBA does not control game locations — they are determined by CMBA.

Introduction to competitive play in CMBA’s tiered league system — appropriate challenge for all skill levels.

Important Information

Registration & Membership

 

Alberta Basketball Membership

Starting in 2024/25, all AMBA players and referees are required to purchase an ABA Membership in addition to their AMBA registration fees.

This membership is collected directly during registration by the ABA and covers insurance and your entrance fee should your team be selected for provincials.

Practice Scheduling

AMBA partners with a variety of gyms in and around Airdrie. While we aim to give our youngest players the earlier time slots, we cannot guarantee specific start or end times.

Travel team practices take place Monday–Thursday, 5:00–10:00 p.m.

Game Locations

AMBA Travel Team games are scheduled by CMBA (Calgary Minor Basketball Association) and can be held anywhere within the Calgary area.

AMBA does not control game locations. Please check the public calendar above for up-to-date schedules.
