AMBA 2018 - 2019 Season: BRING IT ON !

Greetings! We trust that everyone has had a fantastic summer and is ready to get back into some routine...back to school for the kids, perhaps a chance to breathe for the parents, and of course, back to basketball! Your AMBA Board has been working diligently over the past few months to gear up and get things lined up for another season ahead.

As you may be aware, securing gym space for practices and games is always a top priority. We appreciate and value the relationship we have with our schools and this year, have had to explore some alternative locations (while still utilizing our existing schools) both within Airdrie and in close proximity to the city. We are finalizing our venues and will be sharing full details and rollout plans in the VERY near future. Getting players, coaches, volunteers, officials etc. as much information as soon as possible is a key focus and we'll continue to do our best as the season proceeds with timely and informative updates. We realize everyone wants to be able to plan as far in advance as possible...we are subject to the schedules and availability of our locations and therefore need to make some last minute and "creative" changes at times to accommodate all of our practices and events. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.

The AMBA simply could not function without YOUR support and thousands of volunteer hours (thank you!). We all have a vested interest to provide a supportive, educational and FUN experience for our kids within a community based basketball framework. Let's always remember to focus on that FUN aspect...basketball is a fantastic sport that provides a host of tangible benefits to those who play and involve themselves with the game. One of our goals is to encourage kids to not only get involved, but STAY involved with the sport as they get older. We'd like to ask for your support once again this season in terms of setting the example for our players in terms of conduct and respect - as a parent, a coach, a volunteer...regardless, we all have a role to set the tone of positivity for our kids.

September is here...continue to check out our website for ongoing updates as the season begins. Emails will also be sent to members with important information related to evaluations, practices and more. We are aiming to post up our schedules on the website as a "one stop shop" for all your AMBA info...stay tuned! And speaking of evaluations...
